Glamping in Perranporth, Cornwall

A quiet valley, fifteen minutes from the sand

Adults-only shepherd huts and a safari tent in the Bolingey valley, fifteen minutes on foot from three miles of sand.

Perranporth has three miles of beach, a proper Atlantic surf break, and a town you can walk the length of in ten minutes. What it doesn't have much of is somewhere quiet to stay. Most options put you on a main road or in the middle of a holiday park with four hundred neighbours.

Woods 2 Waves sits a mile inland from all that, tucked into the Bolingey valley. Close enough to walk to the beach in about fifteen minutes, far enough that you can't hear the road. Glamping near Perranporth without actually being in Perranporth, which is usually what people are after when they start looking.

There are two shepherd huts and a safari tent here, all adults only, each with its own outdoor space and a fire pit. The pub is two hundred metres from our gate, the fishing lake fifty metres across the road, and the Trans Euro Trail runs straight past the entrance. Most guests park when they arrive and don't touch the car again until they leave.

Where You'll Be & What's Around

Perranporth Beach

Three miles of sand and one of Cornwall's best surf beaches. Fifteen minutes on foot from the gate.

The Bolingey Inn

Two hundred metres down the lane. Local cider, decent food, and a young couple running it who are putting live music on.

Perranporth Town

Fifteen minutes along the Saints Trail. Shops, bakeries, and a brewery worth the walk.

Bolingey Fishing Lakes

Fifty metres across the road from the entrance.

Trans Euro Trail

Direct access at the gate. We're one of the only glamping sites in Cornwall that can say that.

Parking

Free, on site, behind a gate with a security code.

Where You'll Stay

Three places to stay, all adults only, all with your own outdoor space and fire pit.

The two shepherd huts sleep two and have their own kitchen and shower room, so you've no shared facilities to think about. The safari tent sleeps four across two double bedrooms, with a terrace deck and an indoor dining table for when the Cornish weather does what it does. Prices start at £120 a night with a two night minimum.

What There Is To Do

You can do as much or as little as you like. Most people plan on the latter and end up doing the former.

Surfing
Perranporth picks up Atlantic swell most of the year and is forgiving enough for a first lesson. We work with local surf schools who know these beaches properly.

Coastal Walks
The South West Coast Path runs along the cliffs above the beach. Head north for Holywell Bay, south for St Agnes.

On Site Activities
Fire pits, a BBQ area, pickle ball and camp games. Guests regularly plan an early night and end up playing table tennis until it goes dark.

When To Come Glamping In Perranporth

Woods 2 Waves is a seasonal site, open roughly April through to October. Each end of that has something going for it.

Spring

Quiet, green and good for walking. The coast path is at its best before the crowds arrive.

Summer

Busiest by a distance. Beach weather, the town is lively, and dates go early. Book ahead.

Autumn

The surf is better, there are fewer people about, and it's proper fire pit season.

Winter
We close from November through to March.
